Overview

Featuring the Open Compute Project (OCP) 3.0 infrastructure with support for both Ethernet and InfiniBand protocols, the NVIDIA MCX75343AMC-NEAC ConnectX-7 1-Port 400G OSFP PCIe 5.0 x16 OCP 3.0 Adapter delivers high performance and security for cloud applications, artificial intelligence, and other enterprise workloads. Inline hardware-accelerated encryption and decryption delivers added security.

Installing this Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) adapter into an available PCIe 5.0 x16 interface through an edge connector provides you with an OSFP slot that is capable of supporting up to 400 Gb/s fiber links. Advanced features such as ASAP2 technology and secure boot with RoCE and GPUDirect storage support deliver optimized performance. The ConnectX-7 is designed to work with Windows and Linux devices.

Open Compute Project

Founded by Facebook in 2011, the Open Compute Project, provides specifications for building energy-efficient and scalable high-performance Web 2.0 data centers. The results of these efforts are next-generation computing infrastructures designed and built from the ground up that are up to 24% less expensive and 38% more energy-efficient than traditional data centers. The ConnectX-7 adapter helps to address the demanding needs of newer data centers by providing an Open Composable Network for an end-to-end network fabric, with unmatched features for open architecture and proven, reliable performance.

Accelerate Software-Defined Networking

NVIDIA ASAP2 (Accelerated Switching and Packet Processing) technology accelerates software-defined networking, delivering line-rate performance with no CPU penalty.

Edge to Core Security

Hardware engines in the ConnectX-7 offload and accelerate security with in-line hardware encryption/decryption of TLS, IPsec, and MACsec.

Virtual Protocol Interconnect

The Virtual Protocol Interconnect (VPI) architecture provides a high performance, low latency and reliable means for communication among network adapters and switches supporting both InfiniBand and Ethernet semantics. A VPI adapter or switch can be set to deliver either InfiniBand or Ethernet semantics per port.

Enhanced Storage Performance

The ConnectX-7 enables high performance and efficient data storage by leveraging RDMA/RoCE, GPUDirect Storage, and hardware-based NVMe-oF offload engines.

Precision Timing

This adapter provides extremely accurate time synchronization for data-center applications and timing-sensitive infrastructures.

NVIDIA® ConnectX®-7 Adapter

The NVIDIA® ConnectX®-7 family of remote direct-memory access (RDMA) network adapters supports InfiniBand and Ethernet protocols. It enables a wide range of smart, scalable, and feature-rich networking solutions that address traditional enterprise needs up to the world’s most-demanding AI, scientific computing, and hyperscale cloud data center workloads.

Accelerated Networking and Security

ConnectX-7 provides a broad set of software-defined, hardware-accelerated networking, storage, and security capabilities which enable organizations to modernize and secure their IT infrastructures. Moreover, ConnectX-7 empowers agile and high-performance solutions from edge to core data centers to clouds, all while enhancing network security and reducing the total cost of ownership.

Accelerate Data-Driven Scientific Computing

ConnectX-7 provides ultra-low latency, extreme throughput, and innovative NVIDIA In-Network Computing engines to deliver the acceleration, scalability, and feature-rich technology needed for today’s modern scientific computing workloads.
