AMD EPYC™ 9005 Series Processors

AMD EPYC™ 9005-series CPUs amplify the AMD history of x86 architecture innovations and record-breaking performance with next generation 3nm technology as well as introducing support for high performant DDR5 DIMMs and fast PCIe® Gen 5 I/O. EPYC 9005 CPUs support 12 memory channels with two DIMMs/channel capability, delivering the resources needed for memory hungry AI-enabled data center workloads, ML, HPC and large in-memory computations.

Up to two single-slot GPUs

This server features multiple PCIe 5.0 slots to meet the demands of AI and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads, including supporting up to two single-slot active or passive GPUs, and Xilinx Alveo accelerators. The scalable configurations in one 1U system provide optimized acceleration for workloads across cloud and on-premises data centers, and for hybrid cloud environments in financial computing, machine learning, computational storage, and data search and analytics.

* The total number of NVMe drives installed will affect the total number of GPUs that can be installed.

* FPGA Xilinx verification is available on request.

More storage in middle bay

This server features unique design of additional four 2.5” internal storage supporting NVMe and SATA in middle bay*, allowing up to 16 all-flash NVMe drives for different configurations.

* 4 x 2.5” SATA/NVMe in middle bay is for mid storage bays SKU only

* Once the server is sold, the middle bay cannot be expanded or sold separately

Enhanced Security

Hardware Root-of-Trust Solution: Detect, recover, boot and protect

HYPERSCALERS servers integrate PFR FPGA as the platform Root-of-Trust solution for firmware resiliency to prevent from hackers from gaining access to infrastructure. HYPERSCALERS security solutions are fully compliant with the 2018 National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) SP 800 193 specification.

* Platform Firmware Resilience (PFR) module must be specified at time of purchase and is factory-fitted. It is not for sale separately.

Trusted Platform Module 2.0

HYPERSCALERS servers also include support Trusted Platform Module 2.0 (TPM 2.0) to secure hardware through integrated cryptographic keys and offer regular firmware update for vulnerabilities.
