The 4U, four-way server uses the Intel® Xeon® processor E7-4800/ 8800 v3  product family with up to 18 cores per processor, totaling 60 cores and 120 threads per system. The server offers a combination of reliability, high I/O throughput, expandability, efficiency and serviceability that until now were difficult to achieve in the enterprise datacenter.

QuantaGrid Q71L-4U is powered by Intel® Xeon® E7-4800/ 8800 v3 based processors using state-of-the-art 22nm manufacturing technology, with up to 18 cores per processor (or a total of 72 cores per system).

Significant I/O Throughput and Scalability

96 DDR4 DIMM slots designed to achieve platform limitation by capitalizing the Intel Scalable Memory Buffer's capability to its maximum. In addition to the ten PCIe 3.0 slots with their astonishing expandability, the four hot-swap PCIe slots among them further enhance expandability with serviceability. The 11th slot is dedicated for QCT storage mezzanine to offer cost-efficient SAS/RAID support option. Twelve 2.5" 12Gb/s-ready hot-plug hard disk drives ( two supporting NVMe-ready PCIe SSDs) deliver ultra-low latency cache, best for data demanding and transaction-intensive workloads, such as in-memory or business analytics.
